Weekly Wrap-Up and What I’m Reading On the Web – 11

What in the world have we been doing all week? Being awesome. Also, some other stuff. scroll on down to check it out :) .

What Am I doing?

Took a break this week from the backyard madness. Instead we went to a warmer part of the state and played in the sun. I did some wakeboarding and swimming, and so did our little guy. It was also his first outdoor camping experience in a tent, and he did great. Slept like a champ and played all day.

We were in capable hands on our road trip.

We tried doing some patio work, but just ran out of time. The uneven bricks are taking a bit longer than anticipated to set, and we’ve changed our strategy, so hopefully we can get cruisin’ this weekend.

And remember my car accident I talked about a few weeks back….or did I? I don’t know. Either way, it’s a small fender bender, but not my fault. The lady went through insurance, but I haven’t been able to make time to get my car in during a weekday that the shop is open. I’m getting a call a day from the insurance company asking if I had taken it in yet. I’m hoping the car is just totaled and I can get cash for a replacement (then buyback the car for a few hundred dollars). We’ll see, but it’s just annoying at the moment.

  1. Good to hear that the little guy is a born camper. I don’t recall your recent car accident, but maybe that was before I started following along. It is frustrating when you have to go through all those hassles when it wasn’t even your fault.

Also, thanks for the mention. Enjoy your weekend Jake!

    • Yea, it was a slow-speed accident, no injuries. but my bumper is mashed up and headlight exploded. Since I drive a cheap car, it’ll most likely be totaled. Which is awesome for me :)

  2. Your little guy is seriously a cutie, Jacob. My kiddies all love the outdoors as well. At least once or twice a day now, our (just turned) one year old drops our shoes in our laps, seemingly demanding to be taken outside.

Thanks for the mention.. I hope you have a great weekend!
