Weekly Wrap-Up, Mentions and Good Reads August 26, 2012

What in the world have we been doing all week? Being awesome. Also, some other stuff. Scroll on down to check it out :)

What Am I doing?

This week we took a break on the yard work (shocking, I know) and had some family hangout time with our cousins. When we all get together, for some reason, we end up staying up late, losing our minds (in a non-drug-induced kind of way), joking and laughing the night away. It’s always refreshing and bummer it doesn’t happen more often.

And just a quick car accident update; They we supposed to send me a check for the damage value, and they “accidently” removed 1 number from the check, which ended up shorting me  over $1,300! I called, and they were very polite, admitted the mistake, and said a check for the difference would be sent out. About 3 weeks later, I still have no check, and I bet it was never processed. If you read through my billing mistakes series, you know I’ve already seemed to have misfortune with errors on bills. Seems like I’m keeping my streak alive. Woo-freaking-hoo… :\

  1. Ain’t that the way it goes with money. When you are not looking it can slip away right before your eyes. We always read every bill and receipt to make sure they add up correctly. I’m shocked though how many people do now. How often do you see receipts tossed all over the parking lots at the shops or in the bins. Oh, well. Thanks for the mentions mate… and as for the yard work, I’m back at it this week. Let’s hope I can find a company that actually wants my money.
    Cheers
