What Am I doing?
This week was definitely an adventure. For one, it was my first time away from my wife and son for more than a day. I had some technical training for work, and drive down to Oregon Sun – Thurs., and came back Thurs. night. Of course, right after I left, my son came down with the flu and Michelle had to take care of a sick baby who wouldn’t sleep by herself for three days. Needless to say, she was completely exhausted by the time I came home.
And now that we’re in the throes of the Christmas rush, we’ve got gift and wrapping paper everywhere! Michelle is ridiculously awesome, and is making a ton of gifts with her craft-magic, and I’m getting to use some power tools to help out, which is always a plus. We drove out and look at some Christmas lights, which is always fun, but with a tired baby, we ended up zipping through the neighborhoods and back hoping as fast as possible. Got one decent pic, though:
How was YOUR week before Christmas?
Carnivals:
Pretty sure the last time I submitted to a Carnival, people were wearing acid wash jeans and denim jackets….

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Funny we have the same quality about us when it comes to budgets and straight Christmas lights. If there’s one thing that does my head in is when I see crooked or missing lights on a house. There is, no word of a lie, one house in our neighbourhood where I stood outside with Mrs.CBB and counted how many bulbs were missing (for a joke of course. I was like, why bother.. anyhow..it’s all festive…
Thanks for the mention and hopes she’s feeling better now! Power tools are fun, must show us what you made with them! Happy Holidays to you and your family Jacob!! Mr.CBB

I feel bad for being a Christmas light snob, but I can’t help it.
Though, it’s a bit hipocritical, as I can see like 3 lights out on my house right now… :\
Thanks for the mention! I hope you have a very merry Christmas as well!

Thanks Lance!
I think my 5 year old has the OCD about Christmas lights as well. We did our annual light viewing drive last night and she had to count and write down all the houses with lights. Maybe she is a budding accountant? Thanks for the mention.

Thank you for the mentions. I really appreciate it. My week before Christmas has just been a bunch of waiting. My son is to arrive any day, literally. We are just waiting and hoping he comes before the new year. I hope you have a great holiday!

Excited for you, man! My son is turning one in a few days, so I was exactly where you are last year!
Thankfully I don’t have OCD…..lol

I like the large light bulbs on the lights that are on the roof. We haven’t put any up (ever) but I think if we try it next year we’ll go with the larger lights.
I hope you have a great Christmas and I hope your son is feeling better!
