What Am I doing?
This past week was AWESOME, as most of you read on my post about our 5-year anniversary. We were able to really enjoy the entire weekend, and the Westin was the cherry on top. We started it out with taking Friday off, waking up and having a delicious breakfast in a fun little café. Then we went antique browsing, because that’s what we always do. Our little man was having lots of fun looking at all the old gadgets, but got tired after about the 5th one.
We headed home, and my website was FINALLY online by that point, so I loaded the I Am Blessed post for my wife to read on the drive home, with Nolan sleeping in the backseat (#winning). We then headed off to our 20-week ultrasound for baby #2! We had the lady keep the gender a secret from us and stuff it in an envelope.
Then my wife (who always does these kind of crafty, awesome things), had put out blue and pink silly string, and covered them with paper so no one could see what color it was. We handed the envelope to our sister-in-law, she grabbed the appropriate cans, and handed them out to family and friends. Then we all counted….”ONE, TWO THREE…” and………..
Yup! We’re having a baby girl! Pretty freaking excited about this. We’re also excited for Nolan to be a big brother, and love and protect his lil’ sis . I might just have to add “baby shopping” to the budget, as we learned from our first one, 95% of EVERYTHING out there is for girls. Here’s to hoping for more frugal finds!
AAANNNNNDD! We also had a huge block party hosted in our driveway/front yard for the “National Night Out Against Crime”. Or something. Either way, it was a HUGE hit, we met people I don’t ever remember seeing in the 3.5 years we’ve been there, made some new friends, and all agreed to start a neighborhood watch program. I would say it was a HUGE success, and now I can at least put a name to the face of the people I wave at as they drive by
