Weekly Wrap-Up and What I’m Reading On the Web – 7

Can’t believe it’s already Friday again! Here’s what’s been going on this week: What Am I doing? This week we started prepping for our patio install. Today, I’ll be digging 3ft. deep holes for the 6×6′s to be installed tomorrow. This is for our pergola that will go over hte patio area. I don’t look forward to it, especially since it’s raining lions and bears outside! Oh well, man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. After we set the posts, Michelle and I will set the edge of the brick patio with leftover 4×4′s, get some crushed granite and level the patio area. Another week gone and I don’t remember doing anything. Let’s see what I can come up with. Here’s what’s been going on this week: What Am I doing? Well, this week seemed to fly by, but I don’t remember getting anything done. Oh wait, we had a tractor! My uncle came out and ripped out 4 stumps, leveled the corner and drank our beer. New we’re ready to install our 12′ 6×6 posts for the pergola that’s going in the corner of our yard. Once those are set, I can start laying gravel and sand for the patio. Then I’ll bring back the bricks, lay and tamp them down and finish it off with paver sand. Should be a back-breaking good time! Deal or No Deal (UK game show)

Can’t believe this week’s already over. After our busy weekend time just seemed to fly by. Here’s what’s been going on this week: What Am I doing? What a week! New fence installed in 2 days! Just need to finish up the trim work and put up the gates this weekend. Now I’ve got to figure out if it’s worth it to rent a tractor to rip out some stumps and level the corner in our backyard. We were anticipating about $250, but with delivery and backhoe attachment it’s looking closer to $500. OUCH! Still debating on this, but I need to make a decision tomorrow. We celebrated my 3 brother’s birthdays this week (5th, 7th and 8th). Pretty awesome that my youngest brother just turned 18 and is graduating in a few weeks. Then it’s time to get a job!
